October 30, 2006
I was going through an old keepsakes box in my garage on October 30, 2020, and I stumbled across this handwritten journal entry I wrote on the same date in 2006.
“What I have realized this whole trip is that life is nothing short of a domino effect of divine interventions. The ones you love, the ones you lose, the ones you choose, and the ones you abuse. There is a plan. There may be several beginnings in your life, ultimately one end. No rush anymore. Life is a gift, experience is what makes it worth living. The world is a broad canvas of individuality. Every person, every country, every culture is unique, couture, and one of a kind. Remember respect, remember never to pass judgement, remember different isn’t wrong.
Reflecting who I am today means taking a look at where I’ve been; what I’ve done and the lessons I’ve learned. I am not a product of my environment; I am not held captive to my home or my space. I am a product of the world I live in and the world is mine to make of it. I will strive to reflect who I am and be that of a solid human; not just a shell; but a heart and a soul. My passions will be exuded in my voice and my actions. Deeper than the sea, deeper than my spirituality. My life will make me….”
